We believe planned obsolescence is an ethical failure. AthaOS hardware is designed for longevity, inspired by the modularity of the Framework and Steam Deck ecosystems.
Open Hardware: We prioritize replaceable RAM, processors, and networking modules.
No Software Kill-Switches: Opening your device won't trigger a software brick. While we can't warranty damage caused by a DIY repair gone wrong, we will never artificially sabotage your right to tinker.
End-of-Life Grace: If we ever stop supporting a device, we commit to open-sourcing the schematics and software so the community can keep the hardware alive. AthaOS hardware will never become e-waste by our hand.

The Local Frontier: AthaAI (AthaSync) is built to run on ARM-based, energy-efficient local hardware. Your habits, your schedules, and your biological data are processed at home.
No Cloud-Baiting: We don't provide cloud-enhanced AI because we don't believe the trade-off is worth your privacy. Your AI agent works for you, learns from you, and stays with you.
